I paired it with a tranx 500 hg spooled with #65 pp and topped off with #25 floro on on bait. Sensitive enough in the tip to feel the bite yet moderate action to pull on fish. Get one or all of them.

How much is the rod weight?

Bernie 6 years ago

The only rod we have available that I was able to weigh was the Shimano Teramar TMS86MHB Inshore West Coast Spinning Rod and the weight is 12.6 oz's

Asked by Mark D 2 years ago

Hey whats up, can I use the TMS106HA for popping? If so what size poppers would you recommend for this rod?

Brendan - TackleDirect Customer Service 2 years ago

Hi Mark, The Shimano Teramar TMS106MHA Inshore West Coast Spinning Rod would be a little long for popping applications. I would recommend a Shimano TZS78XHBLK Terez Spinning Rod. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzs78xhblk-terez-spinni

You most certainly can, there are a wide variety of lengths in this model I would recommend the 10'6 Medium Heavy or Heavy action rod if you plan on using weights up to 8oz
