La mejor para orilla (the best for shore)

teramar, for the price it is one of the best options for shore fishing, the first time I used it I feasted on 15 jack mackerel catches between 4 and 5 kg, it is very versatile since you can cast from 3/4 oz rubbers, 1.5 oz walking lures to jigs and without getting tired since it has the right weight.)
Go to boat rod for New England inshore
I have a couple of these rods on the boat, and they have been great. Paired with a decent reel, these rods have the backbone to take 40#+ stripers without feeling undergunned. I use these to cast everything from small Jumpin' Minnows to the big 9' Docs - they're able to cast both, and work the lures nicely back to the boat.
I leave these out in the elements for most…

of the season, and they've held up nicely. Would definitely purchase again.
Thank god for Shimano…and Tackle Direct…
I fish every day

But what excites me most is my four new Teramar rods, 7 and 8 foot medium heavy for 1/2 fo 2 ounce lures
Yesterday my new Thunnus 8000 reels arrived which I paired with the 8 footer MH…

Favorite inshore spinner
Have this paired with a 4k Shimano stradic fl. Favorite all around setup.
Awesome inshore rod
Strong and pretty light on hand. Nice for does long day of fishing.
Best bang for your buck
The Teramar is such a great combination of power and finesse. I love the extra fast action the rod has, yet it has backbone to handle big, tough fish. This rod way outperforms it's price.
2021 Tarpon Trip
Worried about trying to find a 2pc but this rod traveled great and better yet handles up to 150 pound tarpon with no issues. Absolutely a stellar rod!!!! Dont buy a 2pc, buy this one and use the tube it comes in as your checked bag. Will be buying a 2nd one for sure!!
Shimano
Another quality product from shimano. Definitely a solid casting rod. Almost too much back bone.
YouTube. Rod
Can throw3/8-1-1/4 ounce. Very nice rod. Ultra light but powerful. Caught alot of fluke from shore and boat. Blues and stripe bass to 10# no problem. Paired with 3000 size reel perfectly balanced.
Perfect for Blackfish/Tog
Absolutely perfect spinning rod to use when jigging for for blackfish in the northeast. Also use this rod when fishing backcountry reds and snook when i go to Florida. Makes great lite tackle boat rod for using eels when fishing directly over bass .
Fluke Killer
Great fluke sea bass and blackfish rod. For the price this rod is terrific. Durable with backbone and light enough to pick through bites
Nice Rod!
Very nice rod for the $, comparable to some others I have costing twice as much. Paired the TMS-70MH with a Shimano Baitrunner 4000d and 20lb braid. Works great for nearshore live baiting and even for pitching to schoolie dolphin.
Great rod for the money.
I have paired a MH 7.5 and a MH 7 foot with Tranx 400 reels, and they are about perfect for trolling and casting for king mackerel from my kayak. Once I can buy a couple more of these setups, I intend to leave my heavier tackle at home unless I plan to bottom fish next to the oil rigs.
Great rod for the money
This is my second TMS MH rod. It is a great rod for the money. My 4 year old rod is 7'6" I bought it for slip cork fishing and throwing top water lures. I am hoping the shorter rod will be my new favorite for working a Cajun Thunder, twitch baits and heavy jigs in deep water. I haven't used it enough to decide on the shorter length.
Both rods are matching with Shimano…

Ci4 using 20# braid. They can stop almost anything I catch in the Intracoastal waterway here in NE FL/Jacksonville. I have caught redfish up to 38" in a foot of water.
A medium heavy action combined with a fast action tip is gentle enough to toss live bait a mile and not tear it up. It will also sling a top water plug or Bomber Long A with tremendous accuracy. Flats fishing is about hitting the target. These rods are great.
I also carry two T Allen high carbon micro guide 7'8" medium action with extra fast tips. They are the most sensitive rods I have ever seen. I use them for 1/8 jigs and lately an Unfair Advantage shrimp.
Both rods are also paired with Shimano Ci4 2500 and 10# braid. The rod is more than double the cost of my Teramar. They will cast a tiny weight across town! I use them the most. If a fish taps your lure it's like getting slapped in the hand amazing sensitivity.
The last rod on my boat is a Star Rod - Plasma 7' heavy action with 20# braid. It is rated for baits up to 2oz but can handle double that if bottom fishing.
I use it for soaking blue crab pieces for redfish, big live mullet and trolling. The rod is a beast and doesn't cast very well it's too stiff and too short. It works very well in specific circumstances.
All my rods are one piece. I am old enough to need hi-viz line. I get out two or three times a week.
Fish don't fear me....

Great question! We will try and add a column stating that. TMC- are casting, TMS- are spinning.
I would recommend using the Shimano TMS-F70M Teramar Inshore Southeast Spinning Rod,
I would recommend using the Shimano TMS-X66M Teramar Inshore Southeast Spinning Rod
Yes, I suggest rinsing any saltwater rods you have with fresh water after every use. It's easy and will prevent rust.
I would recommend using the 4000 size reel with that rod.
Those particular casting rods would pair well with a low-profile or round baitcasting reel like the Shimano Curado K or Calcutta 200.
The durability of the blank from the MF is different from the F meaning slightly more durable/more backbone, therefor the slight difference in line weight. The Fast action isn't much heavier so i would advise using the F rod for the reel your matching it
The 7'6'' MH or H would be best for pike fishing in Canada. Personally i like the MH for it's versatility.
Depending on how large specie of fish you are targeting will determine if both rods can handle it. These rods are very durable and reliable that can take alot of weight and pressure.
i would advise getting a MH or H Teramar 7 ft for the style of fishing and for the species of fish you are targeting.
All of these models from Shimano are 1pc.

Please take a look at jigging world rods they are better than the shimano and you will save money

6foot 6 or 7 feet

The TMS-80M is a spinning rod.
The Shimano TMC-76MH Teramar Inshore Southeast Casting Rod would be a great fit for the Avet Sx.
Billy, Hello this rod is going to be a dark blue blank.
Hello Tom. The medium would work for you depending on the baits you were using. The medium heavy would be best for what you are doing. And the heavy would be a bit over kill.
For this rod the line weights that are in the chart are for monofilament.
Stats, I would recommend the 7'0" Medium heavy, it will be an excellent rod for your application.
Yes it is a one piece rod.
Yes, this rod is great for Striped Bass and bottom fishing. We suggest going with SHM-0391. It is the Med Heavy, extra fast, 15-25# rod. It will give you the hook setting power you will need better than the med. fast rod.
The Shimano Teramar is a very sensitive rod for bottom fishing. For surf fishing and casting the longer rods are definitely great for gaining distance from the surf. They are good rods to choose from in the Shimano lineup . Either a 7'6" or an 8' would be
1Piece
Jay,
The Shimano Teramar Inshore SE spinning rod TMSX80XH will pair nicely with the Shimano Twin Power SW 8000 as it has plenty of backbone for targeting Mahi, school tuna, Grouper, and King Mackerel. Please let us know if there is anything else we ca

Yes, the 8k Saragosa would pair well with the 80H. It's a pretty popular rod and reel set up for Tarpon.
Depending on the power and action of the rod yes this reel will pair up with some of the <h1 class="cyc-item-h1" style="margin-bottom:0px;font-size:23px;font-family:'Roboto Slab', Arial;font-weight:bold;line-height:1.2;color:rgb(7,31,55);border:0px;verti
That rod may be a bit undersized, I would look at the St.Croix Mojo salt HeavyÂ
Hello Kevin, the 7'6 mh extra fast action would work well for inshore stripers and fluke.
This particular model of shimano does come with a butt cap.
Hi, The Shimano Teramar Southeast Inshore Spinning Rod model: TMSX80XH is a 8ft XH Spinning Rod. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tmsx80xh-teramar-southeast-inshore-spinning-rod.html Please let us know if theres anything else
Hi Jason, The Saragosa 8000 will be big on the Shimano Teramar 7ft heavy. We recommend going with the 7ft 6in medium heavy or the 8ft heavy model to balance out the setup better. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!</
Hi Andy, The price difference between the Northeast and Southeast Teramar is the difference in blank material, grip material, and reel seat. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
Mike,
The Shimano Saragosa 10000 SW will pair nicely with the Shimano Teramar Inshore SE spinning rod TMS-80XXH for tarpon and grouper. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

These are all one piece rods.Â
The 14000 size for the Daiwa Certate would be an excellent reel for Tarpon, and would pair well with an 8' Heavy.Â
Malaysia
This rod is rated for 15-30# test
Would work but you would better off going with the 8' M for lures in the range you are stating.
Either Saragosa would be a great fit on that rod, there is only a minimal difference in weight between the two. Decision between the two should be based off of the braided line you plan on using. Heavier than 30lb, bump up to the 6000 to maximize your lin
Hello, I would recommend going with the 8ft X Heavy with the 6000 saragosa.Â
Either one of those would work, and the decision will come down to how much weight you are looking to cast with it as well as the size of Tarpon and Cobia you typically run into.

That said, I can tell you that the TMSX80XH is probably the
Plug casting for Snook, spinning on the flats or even Tarpon fishing under passes. Swim baits, jigs, plugs. Great all around rod for a wide variety of techniques and species.
If you're going to be popping for GTs, I would suggest taking a look at OTI and the popping series they offer. Incredible rods with incredible actions. Youll be able to find something very nice in their line up for sure.
