My favorite rod for inshore and light offshore fishing, I own three models. Caught lots of porgies, blackfish, black seabass, blues, cod, and haddock with this rod. The medium-heavy is fine for porgies in early spring, but I preferred the heavy model for seabass, haddock and blues. Just purchased a extra-heavy model to handle hefty cod when using high-low rigs in Nov - Dec since… read more I often catch two fish at a time. Lightweight rod with a sensitive tip and a sturdy backbone. The MH and H models pair nicely with a Daiwa Saltist 30H, will probably use my Torium 16PGA real with the XH. Nice performance for the price.

It's not a Terez nor Terrmar, but it's not priced like those, either. Good general purpose rod, I let my kids and guests use it with no complaints.

Paired this rod with a Speedmaster II for tarpon in Boca Grande pass. Rod performed well on large tarpon, plenty of power and backbone.

The 7' comes with 9 guides plus the tip. As far as comparisons go, it would be very similar to the MH Silver Hook rod.
