<span>Hi Steve, Based on your fishing application I would recommend the Shimano TZBWSF76HA Terez BW Swordfish Rod. Due to the guide layout and the option for your own rod butt, This would work great with any straight, bent butt, or winthrop adjust a butt
<span>Hi Larry, According to Shimano, The Shimano Talavera Bluewater Deep Drop Rods use ALPS aluminum Oxide Guides. The guides for these rods have Aluminum Oxide frames but the insert is a different material that is a combination of ceramic and alconite.
The length of this rod is measured from butt to tip, so the rod butt is included in that length.
You should be fine with a normal rod holder length.
The Shimano Talavera Deep Drop rods are hollow. They are made of a high composite graphite construction.
