This is a great budget rod for wading in Texas. It's very sensible yet strong at the same time. Was able to handle slot reds and trout.

I have ordered these rods a few times and now have 4. I used to buy more expensive rods but when they get broken it hurts alot more. Have casted for hours straight with no issues. Have pulled up to 30 inch red drum and several 4 lb range large mouth in with these and no issues. Good looking rod with plenty of functionality without breaking the bank. One note, I do put cork… read more sealer on the rod butts.

Finally someone designed a perfect handle. I have always loved cork handles but Shimono put the cork above the reel seat and when you tighten it there are no threads showing. It is a comfortable grip for hours of fishing. I have 5 of these rods in different sizes. They are a great value for the price.
