Great Trout Rod
I bought a pair to lend out to friends for inshore. I found that I like them better than a more expensive brands I was using. Very responsive and sensitive. Great for specks and reds. Pair it up with a decent 2500 series reel and you got the trout/red slayer.
Good rod for the money
Bought this rod years ago as a replacement for a much more expensive rod that I had foolishly broken. Still fish the cheap replacement. Much better and more responsive rod than price would indicate.
First Rod I Grab
I love this Rod, sadly it looks like they are stopping production. I have a medium heavy 7' one piece. Have caught thousands of fish, including some big muskies while fishing for walleye! Best rod for the price by far!
Depending on what you are fishing for that reel will balance well with the 6' Medium Light. I wouldn't get anything heavier than a medium light and I wouldn't go any longer in length than a 6' 6.
