Strong rod

Jack

was concerned how a rod for such a low price point would hold up. slapped my daiwa regal on this- held up to a strong fight from a 5 1/2 pound monster big mouth 2nd day out. heard some crackling during fight thought rod was going to go, but turns out it was my bad knees.

Eyelets were straight. Rod is tough and strong. As the headline states, this is a very nice rod for the price.

No manufacturing flaws as I've seen on more expensive rods. Eyelets were straight. Rod is tough and strong. As the headline states, this is a very nice rod for the price.

Cheap price, great quality

Can't beat the price vs quality on this. Rod looks and feels great. I use it for catching bait with sabiki rigs or bobber fishing for bluegill/other baitfish. I got the 5' 6" medium action. 6' would be better for some of the longer sabiki rigs.

Rod is great, customer service is better!

First off, the Shimano FX ultralight two piece is an awesome rod for jigging crappie. Super sensitive on the tip, you nearly feel fish swimming by the lure. I was buying my second one from Tackle Direct,
But there was a problem with shipping.
The rod got stuck in the corner of a post office somewhere in New Jersey, and after contacting the company they sent me a replacement. read more Right away. Avoiding USPS. Arrived in days, no charge. And if the second rod happened to break loose from its post office prison, I was to notify Tackle Direct and either return it or pay for it. And that did happen, and there was No Question in my mind whether to buy it or not. The bill was even discounted from the original price. Tackle Direct were awesome to work with. 5 stars on Yelp!

Bought this rod as an all around UL rod. Wanted something ultra cheap and this fit the bill. Shimano delivers for sure. I have caught bluegill and sunnies, trout, largemouth, saltwater perch, rock fish and more. Also fairly durable rod too, banged mine around accidentally and its doing just fine.
