Love this rod !

This rod is awesome! I have it paired with a Shimano Calcutta Conquest 401 and I use it as a swim bait rod for bass fishing. For a heavy rod, the tip action is a little soft but it's perfect for the weights I'm throwing. I throw anywhere and between 3/4 - 4 1/2 oz lure and cause of soft tip, it loads up very well allowing you to get mad distance on the cast. "Well at lease for me read more anyways :) "

Been fishing for 30 lb.stripers to 40 lb.sturgeons, one heck of a low price pole for the money.Had this for 3 yrs now and 60 times year round using this poles.I'm a happy camper, will buy the 10 footer and 8 footer soon, cayse of the cost and by Shimano specs.....

This Rod's Lure Weight Is Far From Advertised

I was somewhat reluctant to buy this rod because of the 3/8-4oz lure weight. This broad range seems to good to be true. Of course, it was not true. I would hesitate to cast this rod with a weight no more than 1oz. The rod sits in my closet. I wish I could it exchange for something functional for me. I would recommend a rod similar to the Lamiglas MBC 86H with a true 1/2-1 read more 3/4 lure weight as a good compromise. Shame on Shimano.

Great Salmon / Steelhead Pole

I had been looking for a good (1piece) pole for Salmon / Steelhead. All the stores I visited offered nice poles but they were al 2 piece. Very Frustrating. So decided to look on-line. Came across your site and found this Shimano casting rod. Absolutely love it. Exactly what I was looking for to match up with my Corodo 300
