Great rod for the price

While I have this set up for light tackle, so far already managed to land several 2+ lb bass without any issues. Using for shore-based fresh water pond fishing so far paired with a Nexave 3000 reel spooled with 10 lb power pro.

Bought 2 of the 7' MH spinning rod and the sensitivity is perfect as is the hook setting strength.
I'd put them up against Lew's or St. Croix any day!

Good Deal

Can’t beat the price for the rod

Nice pole perfect for the lighter baits, cant say the same same for the shipping. The extra money shipping tube was broken and one of the guides on the pole was twisted off.

Would buy again

I bought this rod for inshore casting to blues and stripers. It was great! I brought a crazed bluefish on board and had too little slack in the line.
He slapped around and snapped the end off. Not the rods fault!! I did not only buy another one thru TD but a spare at my local shop. I love this rod!!

The 6’ light 1 piece clarus is an amazing rod for big eyed skad here in hawaii. Light and very sensitive! Only thing I don’t like is that the upper cork grip has a gap between it and the rod blank. Over time I can see that the gap will grow and break down the cork from the inside. Other than that...the rod stands up to some awesome fights!

i am looking for a freshwater rod that will pair up nicely with my Stradic 2500. any suggestions?

The Shimano Clarus and Crucial are both good rods to match with a Stratic 2500. Depending on the type of fishing you are going to be doing, these rods feature great sensitivity and strength for both casting and retrieving. You can find these rods through
