Great looking and outstanding rod value and high performance, this rod really works when most needed, very lightweight perfect for most Northeast species, handled +/- 20 lbs bass and rays. Paired with Shimano Twin Power TP4000

Donald 6 years ago

hello Richard. The 66H model doesn't have a trigger.

Asked by Ronald 6 years ago

Looking to use this rod for haddock/pollack fishing in the Gulf of Maine. Would a 7'6" heavy be good for jigging using a 14-18 oz jig? Looking to add Daiwa 15H as the reel.

Donald 6 years ago

I would actually recommend using a Lamiglas Triflex 7'6'' 6-16 oz lure weight rod if you plan on use that heavy of a jig.

Asked by Michael Bona 8 years ago

Sorry for the confusion. Out of the Teramar models above, which Teramar models DO NOT have a split grip? I'd like to buy one, but dont want a split grip butt.

Donald 8 years ago

The heavy action rods 6'6, 7 and 7'6 are all solid no split grip.

Asked by Dave 9 years ago

Which one of these rods would be good for fluke, sea bass and black fish of the Jersey coast?

Frank 9 years ago

Dave, SHM-2919 6'6" Teramar Northeast Inshore will be an excellent rod for the fish you are targeting.

Asked by Nick 9 years ago

Which model would you recommend for live lining bunker and eels as well as for trolling? This would be for stripers and blues. Thanks! Which reels would you pair it with?

Customer Service 9 years ago

We suggest going with a 7' Tallus (SHM-2436) instead of the Northeast rods. The Tallus are better all around rods and if you are trolling, it is much better. As for reels, look at the Avet MXL MC reels.

Asked by Sean 10 years ago

Hello! One question please. Are all of the casting sizes expected to come with a gimble and butt cover? Thank you for your time.

Customer Service 10 years ago

From what we has been told, yes. They should all come with a gimble and butt cap.
