Awesome braided line

I've been using this line for many years and truly love it. I really found out how much the colors come into play this past June. Took my dad out fishing who is 82 now. Great braid for trolling and jigging

I love the depth hunter braid for trolling and jigging. The color coding tells you just how much line is in the water, so you can dial in the bite over the course of the tide. I having it when I have guests on board and can instruct them on how many colors to put out, or ask them to let the line in/out a specified amount. There are better braid options for casting artificials… read more (Power Pro Super Slick 8 V2), but for dropping down while jigging or dropping back on the troll, nothing I have encountered beats Depth Hunter.

Flat fall fishing

This line is a game changer as the tuna move up and down the water column. They can start bout at 80’ and then go to 300’ knowing where your bait is gives you much more confidence for those all night jig sessions. Especially when jigging for Bluefin Tuna with flat fall irons or little Snippers or what ever your confident bait is. Great for jigging

Great line for jigging and targeting fish at certain depths throughout the water column. 30 lb line is thin, smooth and very strong. This line has save me from getting hung up on the bottom as I knew the depth and simply counted out the matching color changes. When fishing expensive jigs this can be huge. Great specialty line

Power Pro depth Hunter line is color coded with colors changing every 25 feet. I use this for vertical jigging to accurately get back to a target depth where fish are holding. Also great for trolling, inshore for stripers and offshore for the pelagic species where resetting lines quickly is important. The low diameter braid is just a no-brainer as it produces less drag in the… read more water and allows for much greater line capacity on the reel if needed. This is especially important when jigging/trolling for larger fish and allows the use of much lighter tackle for greater sport and reducing the cost of heavier gear. It is a bit more expensive than regular Power Pro however the greater potential of knowing where your lure or bait is is well worth it in many situations. I use a 100 yard top shot attached to mono backing using an Alberto knot for all jigging and trolling use. A quick dab of Super Glue over the connection will reduce friction going through the guides, strengthen the knot, and prevent it from fraying.
