Fantastic
This Penn rod matches my Penn Rival perfectly. Well made with. Lot of back bone and great finish and looks. The price fit very well in my price range as I will use this to fish of from the surf as well from piers.
Penn Perfect!
Picked this rod up to fight frenzied bluefish around the bay and off the beach
Great rod for fresh and saltwater
I have been using these rods for 5 yrs. I fish several times a month.
Cannot beat this for the price
great spinning rod
Penn Spinning rod
Limber enough to really tosses those light jig heads and crank baits, but still has enough backbone to land those bigger fish.
Penn Squadron
Have been looking for a ride of this size and capacity for a while. Seems really sturdy.
Good rod for the money
For the price you can't beat it. The rod offers good durability and a nice look while still being versatile enough to use in most inshore applications. My only complaint is that it is a little to stiff for my liking, but as I said for the price it's a good buy.
Perfect!!!
I bought a year ago is working great and staying strong. Perfect rod for many species! Will buy more soon!!
Hi Jamie, Unfortunately the Penn Squadron II Inshore rods are discontinued. We recommend looking at the Daiwa Aird Braid Casting Rod in the 7ft Medium rated 1/4-3/4oz ( <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-airx701mfb-aird-x-braiding-x
Hi Jim, The Penn Squadron II Inshore Rods are designed to be more of a inshore rod but could be used for light inshore jigging. I would also recommend the Penn Battalion II Slow Pitch Casting Rods. These are specifically designed for jigging applica
A 3000 size reel would fit best with the 7' Medium power, Fast action rod.
The 15 - 30 line weight reel would balance well with the Daiwa BG 20 for the application your using the combo for.
