Carnage II Boat Road
Been looking for this rod for months and finally found it at TD - its everything I was hoping for!
Great rod
Great rod for the money.
Pairs up great with my Slammer 5500.
This combo will be on board for some light offshore work as well this season.
Penn CARBWII80200C70
Awesome fishing rod. I bought it to pair with a Penn FTH60LD2 with an 80lb line. I love this combo, it has become my favorite. I use it for trolling and bottom fishing.
Quality as expected
After having a couple carnage 2 surfrods I decided to get one for rockfish and it is nothing short of my expectations.
Perfect Complement
Paired this with a Penn Fathom II 15SD and WOW! What an awesome setup! Love the grip.
Penn Carnage
have 6 of these rods and use them for everything from snapper to 60LB AJs ,
Strong so far
Wanted a Terez but they were out of stock. Purchased the carnage because I needed something strong and light. Its not as light as the Terez but it has been just as tough.
Carnage boat rod
Purchased 3 total to match with spinfisher vi 8500ll and at first it felt great. On the water first trip to go Red snapper fishing one of the two broke on first retrieval of a 2oz sinker. Tackle direct quickly replaced it. Second trip with one of the original rods not yet used fishing in Florida keys yellowtail snapper fishing the second broke 6 eyes back on a 3lb gray snapper.… read more I am afraid to fish the third rod as I have lost faith. Each brake I went to Walmart and got s uglestick big water a similar rod for 40.00 and never a issue even on a 175lb nurse shark.
Carnage II jigging 7’6” MH
Great rod and even better customer service! I originally ordered the 7 Carnage II boat rod, that was on order from another distributor. I then saw the Carnage II jigging rod was in stock. One call and my order was changed, and shipped the next day. The Penn Carnage II jigging 76 MH rod is amazing. Its lightweight and incredibly strong. I paired mine with a Penn Slammer III… read more 7500, and have no problem pulling in snapper, grouper, cobia, AJ, and blackfin. You can buy with confidence when buying from TackleDirect, and I will definitely do business with them again!
Tackle Direct is GREAT!
Ordered my Penn carnage 2 boat (Heavy) spinning rod to go with my Penn 10500 slammer 3 spinning reel! I had looked at other fishing rods but the carnage 2 just caught my eye the way it was made and the finish on it plus it had great reviews about how it could handle large fish with ease! I have always bought cheaper rods but wanted something that would be a perfect match for this… read more reel! This rod is the perfect match! So glad I went this route! This rod wasn't cheap but you have to have good equipment when fishing for big fish! If you go out fishing and your equipment fails then it just ruins your day! The build quality of this rod is very nice! I have not actually used it yet but I am very confident that this rod will fulfill my expectations and won't give me any problems with anything breaking etc.The people at Tackle Direct were very professional and when I received my new Penn rod it was shipped to me in a heavy shipping tube and the rod was bubble wrapped inside! There is no way this could have been damaged during shipping unless it was ran over by a forklift! Packaged very nice! When I got it I took it outside and inspected it for damage and it was Perfect! No damage whatsoever! This is the first time I have ordered a fishing rod and if I order one again I will go through Tackle Direct! They were Quick on their shipping too! And it was Free! Thank you Tackle Direct for a Great buying experience!
CARBWII4080S76
Perfect rod to match with my Penn Slammer 3 6500. Great backbone, but still able to sense activity. Awesome!
Penn carnage 2 boat spinning rod
I pair this rod with the new penn clash 6000 rod feels and looks awesome components are top quality, can't wait to put it to the test .
I would recommend Penn CARBWII50130C70 Carnage II Boat Casting Rod - 7'
Yes, this rod would be good for grouper.
You'll want to go with the 7' MH.
I would recommend a 7' or 7'6 Medium or MH rated rod for this reel,
The rod you are inquiring about will certainly do well in a charter boat or pier and some jetty settings, but i'm not sure how well it will cast from the beach, going down to 30# braid on one of our reels will help improve your casting distance slightly.<
The Penn Carnage II Spinning Rod that would best match up with a SSVI4500LL would be the CARBWII1530S70 rated for 15-30lb line:<p><br /></p><p><a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/penn-carbwii1530s70-carnage-ii-boat-spinning-rod-7.html">https://www.tackl
CARBWII4080S70: 17.14oz<p>CARBWII50100S70: 18.17oz</p>
I would recommend using the 3065 rod for these fish.
That will be a great set up. Matches up nicely.
Both rods would suit your application. If you plan on using heavy braid around 80 lb test I would go with the medium heavy, If you plan on using lighter line than that I would go with the medium.
I'd suggest the CARBWII 4080S70 paired with either a 5500 or 6500 size Slammer 3. I'd suggest going with the reel size that will hold approximately 300 yards of the particular line you are using.
The 10500 Slammer is a good match to pair with the Carnage 50100 for offhsore use.
The Penn CARBWII50130C66 Carnage II Boat Casting Rod - 6'6'' paired with the Penn SQL50VSW would be a great combo for trolling Wahoo.
The model that would best fit the Penn Clashh 6000 would be the Penn CARBWII4080S76 Carnage II Boat Spinning Rod - 7'6''.
The Penn CARBWII3065S70 Carnage II Boat Spinning Rod - 7' will pair well with the Shimano 6000 reels chunking for striped bass. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
It would not be necessary to step up to the 7500 size. The Slammer III 6500 would pair well with CARBWII 4080S76 and can handle the fish you are targeting.
The 10500 would fit the reel seat on this rod, however Penn recommends a 6000 to 8000 size reel for CARBWII 4080S76.
Yes
6'6" medium heavy casting version
I would recommend the<a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-tnb66mhf-dd-tanacom-dendoh-offshore-deep-drop-rod.html"> Daiwa TNB66MHF-DD Tanacom Dendoh Offshore Deep Drop Rod - 6 ft. 6 in.</a> to pair with that reel. You will want/need a deep drop rod
The <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/penn-carbwii80200c66-carnage-ii-boat-casting-rod-6-6.html">Carnage II 6'6 rod</a> is going to be most ideal.
Johnny,<p>The rod that would go with your Penn Fathom FTH25NLD2 reel and best meet your needs would be the Penn Carnage II Boat rod CARBWII3080C70. This combo will allow you to cover all the different fish and the types of fishing that you are pursuing.
Evan,<p>The Penn Carnage II Boat rod CARBWII3080C70 will pair nicely with the Shimano SpeedMaster 12II reel for dead bait fishing for Redfish, Cobia, and Grouper in the Gulf. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with.</p>
<span>Hi Jackson, out of the options you mentioned I would go with the G-Loomis E6X845S-MGM Inshore Saltwater Spinning Rod. However both the G-loomis model: E6X845S-MGM and Penn Carnage Model: CARBWII 1530S70 are sold out. Instead I would recommend a Star
<span>Hi Jackson, I would recommend model: CARBWII 3065S70; TackleDirect Code: PEN-1440. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/penn-carbwii3065s70-carnage-ii-boat-spinning-rod-7.html.</a><span> This will match up well with your Penn Slammer 5500. Please
<span>Depending on your fishing application, I would recommend a Shimano Tallux PX Spinning Rod. Specifically model: TLXS72MH; TD Code: SHM-4287. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tlxs72mh-tallus-px-spinning-rod.html</a><span> This rod would
Hello Dan, <p><br /></p><p>The Penn Carnage II boat rods have been discontinued. The Penn Carnage III will be out soon</p>
<span>Hi Kamrul, The Penn CARBWII4080S76 Carnage II Boat Spinning Rod due to its size at 7'6" would be considered more of a Popping rod. However since this is currently sold out at this time, I would also recommend a Tsunami TSCSHDPSII762H-B Carbon Shield
Hello Bill, from the butt end to the top of the handle the length is 32 inches from there the rest of the rod is 61 inches
I don't believe Penn has a brochure to list size reels to size rods. So the RAMJG50100S64 paired with your 8500 slammer 3 for jigging and regular boat fishing if you need a popping rod I would look at the TZS78HBLK
They come in both spinning and casting.
There are casting models mixed in with the spinning models.
We have that rod in spinning and casting (conventional) versions.
The 50130C70 would be the better rod of the two mentioned however it has been discontinued.
