Sebastien,
The Penn Spinfisher VI 7500 spinning reel would pair nicely with Penn Battalion II Slow Pitch spinning rod BATSPJII450S68MH, Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Tony,
The Penn Battalion slow pitch rods are made in China and come acid-wrapped. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

I would recommend the Medium rated rod, these seem to be rated a little heavier than most Medium rated slow pitch rods with a max jig weight of 350grams which is well over what you typically use.
The medium should have more than enough back bone for you
Penn typically makes very strong quality rods for the price. This is one of there newer rod models i have not handled personally myself, but these should certainly make easy work of smaller class tuna with the M or MH rated rod
I would recommend pairing this rod with a Penn Squall or smaller Fathom level wind reel
