Fast Action

Very pleased. I needed a very light weight fast action bass rod for saltwater bass fishing in the bay and this has not disappointed. I mated this to a Shimano Curado K bait caster and I can feel every nibble. Highly recommend and so far holding up very well even for saltwater.

This rod handles my jerk and swim-baits from 3/4 to 3 oz handily.A really strong blank with full grip and is sensitive as well.

Would a 3000 size reel fit on the 7ft medium heavy spinning rod comfortably or would it be to big or small

Donald 6 years ago

A 3000 would be a bit light for the MH i would use a 4000 or 5000 size reel depending on which model reel your choosing.

Would this be a good match for a Avet sxj 5.3? 40lb. Power pro

Devon 7 years ago

I'd only recommend these rods in the heavier models to pair with at SXJ. A baitcasting reel may be more appropriate for most of these models.
