EXCELENTE COSTO BENEFICIO (EXCELLENT COST BENEFIT)
ES MI PRIMER CA?A DE SURF CUANDO ESTABA INICIANDO EN EL MUNDO DE LA PESCA DE ORILLA, BUSCABA UNA OPCION ECONOMICA Y LA ENCONTRE,
(IT IS MY FIRST SURF ROD WHEN I WAS STARTING IN THE WORLD OF SHORE FISHING, I WAS LOOKING FOR AN ECONOMIC OPTION AND I FOUND IT,)
Hate how much I love this rod
I keep using this rod over my st croix and odm's bc of how amazing light they are.
No joke, these things are so comfortable to fish alllll day.
The medium rods have a very sensitive tip, but haven't had any issues pulling big 14in+ scup over the rails at the pier.
Best bang for the buck
I have tons of high end surf rods but you cant beat these for bait and wait surf rods. At an affordable price, you can find anything else on the market that can beat these. Just know these rods do feel like they run light, i have ML rods that feel like ML but I also own MH rods that feel like Medium power only.
Nice casting rod for heavy weights
Good option for surf fishing pompano rigs with 4 oz weights
Best 12’ 1-4oz surf rod for pompano
Finally got to use my rod this weekend and slayed the pomps. Handled 4oz easy. Light enough action that fishing for pomps was fun. Most 12 rods are rated too heavy in power for pomps. Pairs perfectly with a 5000 or 6000 reel. I have it paired with a new Saltist MQ and now my favorite pair. Bought a second rod today.
Haven't had a chance to use it yet
Super lightweight 10' rod!
I have it paired with a Penn Fierce III 4000 live liner and 20lb braid.
It's a very sensitive tip that should be great for fishing in the back bays during the spring season..
Excellent rod
I bought two of these 10 ft MH rods for surf fishing in Ft. Laudardale. I am not a surf fisher, so I did not want to spend too much money on rods and I thought these will do. Oh boy I had great fishing with these rods and they were as good as much more expensive rods. Very light but strong while very sensitive. You can feel the smallest bite but I also caught a good size Permit… read more with it and had a great fight with this rod. Don't be fooled with the price tag, they are great rods for any use on any species
Comes as advertised
Very Very light and good feel. Great value bought on Sale 89.99. Was shipped in a very durable container that cost extra. Paired nicely with new Stradic.
Very Pleasantly Surprised
After much internal debate (me, myself, & I) it boiled down to you can never have too much if you love what you do. 1st time surf fishing the gulf and this pole suited my needs of these once yearly trips and the Summer Michigan trips to the beaches and piers.
Second Okuma purchase and not disappointed as it's well made and balances out well with my Ceymar C-55 reel.

FYI, The Tackle Direct Staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful answering the few questions I had via email and chat. A far better service than provided by the big box stores.
I did reserve the purchase of terminal tackle to the local shops in order to gain additional knowledge and insight. This paid off well.
Awesome for the money
I honestly dont have a ton of experience with super expensive surf rods but I really cant tell the difference between this one and the others Ive tried. Loads very nicely and will throw 100yds even with heavy braid when loaded properly. Sensitive enough to see the bumps from bait thieving crabs.
Highly recommended
Bought two 12' Okuma Rock-A-Way rod from Tackle Direct, 30/70 split. Definitely 8+bait up to 16 oz's. Super happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this spinning surf rod.
MH 10feet
light and strong surf rod
Okuma RA-S-1002ML Rockaway Surf Spinning Rod
Rod is light and has enough backbone to pull in big stripers! Great rod for plugging Light lures and great for surf perch in Cali!
The 4000 bg would pair up well

Hello Francisco, <p>A 5000 stradic would pair up well with a 8 foot rod due the compact size of the reel it would balance out well. 3/8 oz might be a little on the light side of the rod so while casting it may not load up properly. </p>
<span>Hi Cory, Depending on your fishing application I would recommend the Penn BTLIII6000 Battle III Spinning Reel. Model: BTLIII6000; TackleDirect Code; PEN-1860. </span><a>https://www.tackledirect.com/penn-btliii6000-battle-iii-spinning-reel.html</a><s

These are a 50/50 split
It is recommended for 25 but it shouldn't hurt to go with 30.
The medium is 9.4oz and the medium heavy is 9.6oz. Both reels will fit but are going to be a little heavy for those rods.
The 11' model would be the best model for Striped bass fishing using 4 oz weights.
The Okuma Rockaway Surf Spinning Rods M or MH models would be suitable for Stripped Bass fishing.
