Great swimbait rod

Benjamin

This thing is a real tank! Great backbone, but with a good parabolic bend at the same time. Despite its size, this rod is fairly light and sensitive. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

bought this rod for a cheap way to get into swimbait fishing. i use the 2-8 ounce for huddlestons. i actually ended up using this rod mostly for bobber fishing live bait for flathead. this rod can throw a big bobber, an ounce of weight with a bluegill amazing distance.

Rod has plenty of back bone. Guides are smooth and take to braid like a charm.

I am looking to pair the 7'11 XXH with my Daiwa Lexa wn 300H with 50lb. braid. I am fishing for pike.

Donald 6 years ago

That would make for a good combo fishing for big pike. Yozuri makes an excellent swim bait you can use for pike fishing called Yo-Zuri Sashimi Jointed FW.
