Counters
If your running Dipsy Divers it's nice to know how much line you had out.
I have used used line counter reels before
and kind of have to say they are useless unless you need, and i mean need a line counter!
This ok reel
This reel is ok for the money I really only like the counting part or I wouldn't get it
It is both. The models with DLX after them are the left handed retrieve and the models with just D are the right handed retrieve.
These can be used for leadcore. I would go with the 453D as this has the highest line capacity in the series.
I would not recommend this, as the dissimilar metals of the wire and the spool can react and cause corrosion issues. I'd recommend the Shimano Tekota for wire line trolling.
Yes, this reel can be used for saltwater applications.
DLX represent left hand crank line counter models. The D models are standard right hand crank.
All sizes and models are currently $119.99 http://www.tackledirect.com/okuma-cold-water-line-counter-reels.html
This is not a bait casting reel. Casting this reel could severely damage the interior parts as well as void the manufacture warranty.
