I fish heavily for flatheads with circles hooks. This pole is the highest quality product I've seen for that application. The tip action ensures great hook up when using circle hooks. I paired it with a Okuma komodo 350, and they are the perfect match in look and function.

Is this a rod that is made for saltwater fishing?

Not really. The rod is designed for large catfish. It can be used for saltwater applications. It is 2 piece and has stainless steel guides without inserts.
