Well Built rod

Personally I'm not a fan of Okuma reels, but I saw this on sale at a local shop and it looked pretty dam nice.... premium guides with carbon wraps. Paired the 6-6MH up with a 6500 spinfisher. Great for jiggin cobia, snapper, AJs, etc.... Have only used it a few times so far but This one has impressed me. Looking forward to using it more

1 thing they shouldve included read more is a hook keeper (hence the 4 stars) Running from spot to spot, I dont want to use the guides or reel to hang the jigs hooks

Great rod!

I got this rod for yellowtail and tuna fishing. It's a great rod light and has 14" rear handle for leverage. The rear and front grips are not bulky. Definitely would recommended this product.

Do you guys offer the split grip Jigging rods or are these just the full grip?

Alyssa Madosky 4 years ago

These models are only offered in full grip no split grip, Check out the tsunami slow pitch rods for a split grip comparison.

Do these have the Gimbel on the end?

Huy - TackleDirect Customer Service 2 years ago

Hi Patrick, The Okuma Azores Jigging rods do not have a gimbal but rather a regular rubber butt cap at the end. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!
