ODM D.N.A. Surf Rods Review

This rod is a 60/40 split which means the longest section will be about 4'9". The distance from center of reel seat to butt cap is about 20"-21"

I would recommend pairing with the Saragosa 10000 size but the 14000 would also do well if you were looking strictly for a canal set up.<p>Unfortunately we are not able to locate any reliable sources as far as the specs go on the weight of these rods.</p>

As per the manufacturer the distance is approximately 23 inches.

The VR50 would be a bit small on that rod. I would go with the 125-150 size for the 9 footer.

I would go with the 10' model in this case.

That reel would match up nicely with that rod and should balance well. 

Unfortunately, ODM does not list the actual weight of this rod.

As long as you have room on the boat to use an 8' rod i dont see why not, I use the 7'6 1 pc model pretty regularly on the boat.<p>This rod would pair very well with a Saragosa 6000, this combo should be able to handle almost any inshore/nearshore species

I would definitely say this would be a great pairing. Very great rod paired with an unmatched reel.<p>If you are strictly using for pier fishing you could get away with using either the 10' 10'6 models</p>

I would recommend the 9' ML, this rod is rated 1/2oz-3.5 so thatll give you plenty of range depending on what you are throwing. with 20# braid on a VR50 you will be able to make monster casts, and both the rod and reel are tough enough to withstand trophy

You can go with either size reel on this rod, they are very similar in weight and how they would balance out on the 8' ODM DNA Surf Rod. Since you are going with 15lb braid, we would recommend sticking with the 3500. Slightly lighter than the 4500, holds

The stradic 4000FL will fit on this rod but is going to be a little to light.

The vr175 would pair better with the 10 foot odm DNA
