Would the 11MHS be good to pair up with ZX22 reel for beach surf fishing? Which other rods could be better with my reel for the same purpose? CTS, TFO, etc.. Thanks!

For the price the Lamiglas SSS 11 MHS Super Surf 2G Rod would pair good with the ZX22. The Temple Fork GIS SCS 1106-2 Gary Loomis Tactical Series Surf Rod - 11 ft. would be another good rod to pair well with the ZX22.

Which model would be best for throwing 3/4oz BT's all the way up to 3oz pencils? would you say they are better than the previous generation or no?

Of the new Super Surfs, go with the LAM-0200 10', 2 piece, 1-3oz. It should be really nice. If you feel like treating yourself, go with CTS-0071 11', 2 piece, 1-4 oz. It will outcast the Lami and give you more power for fighting.
