If I had 1 rod

I paired this with a Shimano Twin Power 5000 sw. I’ve caught plenty if 40 lbs striped bass on a boat with this rod. I‘ve caught blues, tautogs and flukes from the beach/jetty. I bought rods that cost a lot more than the Nexus and nothing compate with performance and durability. Rod is super light too!

Great product

this has quickly become my favorite rod in my arsenal. Handled high 30" striper with EASE paired it with a saltx 4k and everyone who throws it loves it

Great rod.

I use it mainly in my kayak for stripers/fluke and shore fishing for fluke when I need to bump up the oz a little. Great rod, especially for the price. Can't go wrong with this one.

Amazing jetti rod

the rod is very strong and can easily cast 4 oz witch is impressive considering its 6 oz, thin and only a 7 foot rod. Great rod for fluke jigging on the jetty and boat quickly becoming my go to rod.

Great multi purpose rod

Great rod and especially for the price. I paired it with a daiwa bg 4000 for fluking which it was great for. I then took it out for stripers and it was great with them as well. Sensitive but also has the back bone to tackle everything that I targeted with it. Looking forward to using it on some mahi this year. I will purchasing another one to pair with a bg 3500.

Great Jigging Rod

would the 7,6 spinning rod be too heavy for black seabass jigging and fluke jigging with 2-5 oz jigs?

It's doable but not optimal for the heavier jigs

What size reel would be a good match on the 7’6” for tog

KRAIG FRIEDMAN 4 years ago

There are a lot of reels that would work well with this rod for Tog. Here are a few of them; Shimano Stradic 4000FL, Shimano Saragosa 5000, Diawa BG3500, Van Staal VR150 or smaller.
