Jigging World Ghost Hunter Popping Rods were designed for avid tuna popping anglers who throw anything from light stick baits to topwater poppers. Each model in this series features a light blank with a parabolic action that means more torque is transferred to the fish not the angler which leads to... a quicker fight time and more fish caught when the bite is hot. Authentic Fuji components are used throughout with Fuji MNAG guides and a Fuji DPS reel seat that offers peace of mind when you are hooked up on a fish of a lifetime. With models ranging from PE4 to PE10 and a max drag range between 15 and 40lbs you will be hard pressed to find a better popping rod regardless of whether you are after school sized yellowfin on the edge or 150lb class bluefin on your favorite inshore lump. Covered by a 2 year warranty to the original owner you can fish any of the Ghost Hunter Popping Rods with confidence!

there is no need for a 600 dollar rod. the ghost hunter series is super strong.
Great rod
Purchased this rod after talking to tackle direct customer service and their recommendation. Used it for tuna fishing in Texas gulf and rod handled yellowfins great. Bought two rods Ghost hunter 150 and ocean tackle OTI-TS284060 based on recommendation from Tackle direct customer service and both handled perfectly casting flying frenzys and halco 130's. Best popping rod on a budget
Why spend twice the price when this thing is an absolute tuna slayer. Can handle fish over 200lbs, lots of lifting power with a sensitive tip to whip lures a mile.
The 200g would be a more versatile rod to use.Â
The 4500 or the 5000 model bg would be a good pairing for the popping rodÂ
The 8000 saragosa would fit well with the JWD-0013 and the 6000 clash would pair well with the JWD-0012

I would recommend pairing this reel with the 150 or 200g weight rods
These rods were designed for throwing popping plugs and stickbaits for tuna. This would not be an ideal deep-dropping setup. A solid choice for deep-dropping would be a Phenix PHD760X2H Black Diamond Hybrid Offshore Conventional Rod paired with a Shimano
These rods are a butt joint rod, meaning the blank slides into the foregrip section.<p>I do not have the exact specifications for each rod section, but i would guess the butt section to be 24-30" making the tip section 56-60"</p>
This totally depends what you plan on targeting and what fishing application you intend to use the reel for,<p>if you are looking at the Ghost Hunter popping rods i would recommend the 7'6 200-300gram models</p>
This 300g model rod would certainly fit well with your Penn Slammer 10500 size reel, This set up may be a blast for targeting tuna and The rod should hold up to these fish., i am not confident that this pairing would hold up to 150+# class fish, im not su
