Jerry Brown Hollow core is very good. Easy so splice, wears very well, super abrasion resisitant.
It is good for backing on reels but also good for dragging planers( use 300lb for this application).
Great for gear where your are deploying "way way back" lure presentation. Plenty of line on the reel to fight the big ones.

How much would you get on a 80w reel?

This depends on the which make and model of 80W. The capacities will vary slightly across reel manufacturers. For a Penn International 80VSW I would ESTIMATE a max capacity of 1,900 yards with 130 lb. hollow.
