This stuff is tough as nails. I have been snagged on two occasions(12 lb test) and had to crank my drag all the way down in effort to free my snag, snapped two hooks in half and the knot/line was still perfect!

I have been using this line in tests from 12 - 25lb now for about 15 years. One must remember that this line is true IGFA rated, and, thus is intended to break near its weight rating. However, this is the only mono I have used that does not have or develop significant memory problems, at least after a year or so on the reel. Yes, it is a bit stretchy, but the lack of memory is great,… read more plus its knot holding ability is as good or better than other monos I have used. Also, the line diameter allows one to step up to a heavier line without losing capacity.

Absolutely my favorite line for throwing conventional reels in the surf. Great combination of small diameter, high strength and low memory. Picked some up on the recommendation of a friend and never looked back.

The line is the same dimension for the entire spool regardless of the color. Just order the lb test you need and it will be uniform throughout the spool.
