The Pro Green Series is a special set of inshore saltwater rods created for anglers preferring to fish small jigs soft plastics and any number of artificial baits including topwaters for myriad saltwater species. A great choice for school-sized blues and stripers along the Atlantic Coast as well as ...redfish seatrout permit bonefish snook and small tarpon in Florida and all along the Gulf coast these rods offer a surprising blend of power light weight and sensitivity. There are three different power-ratings and three different rod lengths offered in each power to cover the variety of water depths and conditions each region offers. They arent meant to replace the softer more delicate action of the popping rod but to give the angler an option for aggressively fishing artificials. The faster actions of the Pro Green Series give wading and boat anglers alike more positive line and lure control. Designed to create quick accurate "snap casts" to visible targets or long prospecting casts where covering water is more important these rods have powerful butt sections to move big fish with ease and are still light enough to fish them all day long with minimal fatigue.

Holy crap
This rod is all around best in class for light tackle inshore. It casts like a monster and loads nicely from 3/8 to 3/4 but still casts 1/4 like a beast and 1oz equally well. It's super sensitive and has great backbone. I've been taking it out for big blues, schoolie bass, and summer weak fish and fluke. Totally worth every penny.
One of best loomis rods for inshore fishing
Love the 7ml progreen over most all rods . Good action and has plenty of backbone
Perfect for the Lagoon
Excellent List Redfish Rod
Best trout rod I own. Like a med lite rod it's the truest . The 821s
Love the 821s for trout fishing . True med lite action and fav rod of all.
Great rod!
I've never been disappointed with my G Loomis purchases. They are high quality builds and light weight to boot!!
Nice rod but a little expensive and not perfect
After careful consideration I finally decided to pull the trigger and spurlge on this rod. It is very light and casts great. Comparing it to $100 Tsunami rod it is better, however, in my opinion it is not 2.5 times better which is how much more it costs.
G.Loomis Pro Blue rod
Bought this rod for porgy fishing. It is well made as all of my Loomis rods. Like the light weight of the rod and the full grip handle. Works like a charm.
The pro green series rods use fugi guides and reel seats.

Hi John, I would recommend the G Loomis IMX-PRO 844S F IMX-Pro Blue Spinning Rod. This is a stiff Medium Heavy Fast Action rod that woud be perfect for fishing for fluke out of Montauk. https://www.tackledirect.com/g-loomis-imx-pro-844s-f

With the lure rating on the rod a 2500 should be perfect. A 3000 should just be a bump up in spool size and anything larger would add significant weight to the whole set up. You should have a blast with that combo!
