E6X844S-F Model
Great rod, my one and only rod for the kayak so far. Handles fish well, loads and cast well and very sensative. Love the rod and exactly what I expected from a Loomis rod. Only down side, reel seat has had play from day 1 of unwrapping.
Best out there
if ya got the money G loomis is where to go. 100% best rod i have
My first G Loomis rod
Bought the casting version to throw topwater for specks. Was delivered today and I used it for about an hour so far. I was hoping I wouldn't like it any more than the rods Ive been using for years, but It's a sweet casting rod, and the feel and sensitivity is definitely better than my usual rods that run about $80 less.
Like the other reviewer, I heard a few clicks the first…

couple of times the rod flexed, but Ive heard that before with new rods and I'm hoping it's just the guides settling in
Very Fragile for their Cost
Ive had two of these rods in 76 and 8 both break the tips off within 1 week of owning them.
Great rod
Very lightweight and looks very nice guides are very sturdy and has lots of backbone.
Love this rod my go to
This rod is amazing I love using it paired with my stradic for redfish flounder and even soft baits for trout
Great Rod ever since i tried the G-Loomis I will not buy anything else
I bought sometime ago the exact same rod but it was the heavier rod I though I would go lighter this time around, this and the other G-Loomis have not let me down, I truly loves these rods.
landed a 4' nurse shark with this rod
Great all around rod
Excellent rod for inshore saltwater fishing. I use it heavily, the rod is very durable and a simple rinse with freshwater after use is all that is needed to keep it looking new. Great for feeling the small bites on smaller species like snapper, but enough backbone to bring in the larger reds, snook, etc. 7'0, medium action is a great all around choice.
Amazing Rod
Love these rods, and at the price point was able to get a whole set! Light weight and durable. Use it catching Reds, Trout , and Drum.
Sweet rod
love mine with my straic ci4 for inshore fishing. great setup for trout, reds, and striper.
G-Loomis E6X-843S-MGM
Meh. Out of the box, the rod feels extremely light weight and looks great...However, there is a clicking noise coming from the rod that I cannot locate. I'm not sure if there is a guide that is loose or if this is flexing/cracking in the blank somewhere. If I was still within the 30 day period for G Loomis' "Guaranteed Love" , I probably would have returned it, but at this point,…

oh well. I'll keep it on the boat for the rare occasion I want to through something live.
It will cast a live bait setup with popping or barrel cork a country mile without stressing the bait much. The softness in that portion of flex is great for live bait or heavier hard lures, but that's about it. It lacks the tip sensitivity for use with plastics but I have other setups for that.
AWESOME inshore saltwater rod
I was looking for a rod to tackle all aspects of the fall run in the new england this year - false albacore, bonita, stripers, and gator blues - this rod handled them all with ease. it has the tip to throw smaller jigs and plastics to finicky albies and the backbone to tame gators. quickly became the favorite rod in my arsenal, paired with a stradic 4k. lightweight, solid fishing… read more weapon.

Troy, Hello i would suggest going with this model. http://www.tackledirect.com/g-loomis-e6x-964s-mf-inshore-saltwater-casting-rod.html
The shimano saragosa 6000 would pair well with the G-Loomis E6X-966S-MF Inshore Saltwater Spinning Rod. The combo would make for an excellent fishing experience.
Any of the casting models would pair well with a Curado 200. The casting models are the ones which have a C in the product number, as opposed to an S. For example: E6X-843C-MF is casting and E6X-843S-F is spinning.
The G-Loomis E6X-842C-MF Inshore Saltwater Casting Rod would be a good rod to pair with the Stradic 2500 FK. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
The difference is the taper of the rod is different than the other rods at moderate. The Mag rods are typically much more powerful in the butt section of the rod, tapering rather quickly to a fast or extra fast tip. In general they are more powerful than
The G-Loomis 7'6'' MH would pair well with the VR125 casting plugs for striped bass. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.
None of the spinning models have double footed guides. All of the casting models have a double footed guide for the first guide and the remaining guides are single footed.
The G-Loomis E6X-903S-XF Inshore Saltwater Spinning Rod would be a good rod to match with the Van Staal VR50.
The G-Loomis E6X-964S-MF Inshore Saltwater Spinning Rod is a beast of a rod that can handle all types of inshore fishing. When pairing that rod with a Stradic 5000 your getting the best of both worlds. A lighter reel with great max drag for it's size and
The rod and reels will definitely be a good combo depending on what model rod and which size reel you are interested in. These two are commonly paired together for a variety of inshore saltwater applications.
The 7'6" Heavy Action rod will fit nicely with your Penn Battle II 5000.
The 7 foot mh/ fast action rod would pair well with the vs150
Yes, this rod would make a great pairing with that reel.
Either would be a good option for the VR50 and would balance and perform well overall.
The G-Loomis E6X844S-F will be a good rod for this. Its the perfect size to be manageable in a kayak and will be a good multi-species rod. If you need something that can handle a little bit heavier of a line weight though I would also recommend the <a hre
I would recommend the <a>Shimano SRG10000SWAPG Saragosa SW A Spinning Reel</a> or the 8000 either one will work. The 8000 may work best to reduce some fatigue with constantly casting and working top water lures since its a little lighter.
Yes they will be a good match for each other and will be able to handle just about any inshore species.
Out of the sizes in this particular model reel the Penn Conflct 5000 would balance best with the E6X-843S-MGM.
The Shimano Teramar southeast casting rod would pair up nicely with the concept z. <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/tmcx70mh.html" target="_blank">https://www.tackledirect.com/tmcx70mh.html</a>
Yes, these new models will be available in October
The power is heavy and a 5000 stradic would pair up well with that rod.
This rod is currently out of stock and g loomis doesn't list the weight of the rods. As soon as we get the rod in we can get a weight on it for you .
A 4000 or a 5000 Stradic ci4 would pair well with the E6X903S-XF
