FINS Windtamer is a 100% spectra braid but with additional processing. Windtamer braid has been treated by means of a proprietary process resulting in a compacted round and smooth structure with a firm body. This enables FINS Windtamer to pack very well on reels without pulling into itself and cuts ...through the wind to cast without wind knots and rod tip wrapping. Saltwater inshore fishing is a situation where Windtamer stands out particularly for those using bait casting reels.

Best casting line
Outcasts power pro and power pro V2. Quieter in the guides too. 20lb just landed a bull red last week. Would be a 5 star if I could get a darker color.
Best braid ever
this stuff is a must. quiet in the guides casts smoother and farther
Really Poor Casting Distance
I bought a couple of spools of 20 and 30 pound Windtamer. I threw them away. Compared to PowerPro or Suffix 832, it will cast about 1/2 the distance. Stick with what you know. This line is a waste of money.
Terrible braid that knots easily
I fish on the coast in S Texas from a kayak in very windy condition. This line doesn't work and it is a big waste of time getting all the knots untied.
Not as Advertised
Purchased 300 yds of 40lb test for surfcasting. The line frays quickly and simply does not hold up. No more or less prone to wind knots than most braids. The worst feature is that it breaks easily at the point of a wind knot. Very frustrating.
Less wind knots
Never had one backlash or windknot with this braid, I use it on my baitcasters and spinning reels and it's great for both applications!
