really nice rod for the price. My buddy brought one out to mess with albies and next thing you know I'm buying one because it felt extremely nice and actually had a nice back bone. caught a bunch od stripers to 30 inches prefect tip for light jigs

Hello Anon, <p><br /></p><p>While the Favorite white Bird is primarily a freshwater rod it can be used in light saltwater applications. Just make sure to give it a good rinsing with freshwater after use. </p>

how long is the butt on this rod

The distance from the rod butt to the bottom of the reel seat is 11" and the reel seat length in total is 4.5" as well on the 7'6" model.
