I have bought three of dobyns rods now, 2 colts and a fury. All great rods with a decent warranty attached. I honestly have no complaints with the colts. obviously they do not compare to higher end rods but for the price I'm not sure if they can be beat. great option for tournament anglers who want a variety of rods for specific situations without breaking the bank!
EVA flakes off the handle, seat not universal

Was excited to try a Dobyns rod and at this price point took a shot. The reel seat is not universal. I had to swap out several spinning reels to find one that would seat properly. After two fishing trips little chunks started to flake off the foam handle. Can post pictures if needed.

I'll not be doing so. Dobyns may be good rods at a higher price point but this Colt series, they cut too many corners in my humble opinion.
