Best deep drop option
I bought this rod for fishing in the Atlantic coast of Portugal. It is great for deep drop. Highly recommend.
Awesome rod
Handles trolling and deep drop.
Awesome rod and reasonable price
Very happy with these Diawa rods. Only comment I will share is that the roller in the swivel roller tip does not roll as it should even with a fair amount of pressure. I loosened the screw on each side of the roller just a smidge, and I mean just a smidge. But that was enough to allow the roller to spin with minimal pressure. Someone is over tightening this roller during assembly.… read more Maybe Alps, maybe Diawa. But Diawa should have caught this.
Great Rod
Great built rod
Love this rod.
Im completely satisfied with my purchase.
Great Match for Tanacom 1000
I recently purchased this rod for my Diawa Tanacom 1000. This is a great reel high quality components for a really good price. ALPS reel but and seat.
Perfect rod paired with the Tanacom 1000
I put the Tanacom 1000 on this rod for deep dropping primarly Golden Tilefish. This rod is perfect for it. The tip is light enough to see the bite of a single black belly rose fish but strong enough to hold two 20lb golden tilefish at a time.
How do you plane on using this setup? The reel is for trolling and the rod is for deep dropping. Are you trolling or deep dropping? Also where and what are you fishing for?
Hello Mike, no reason they shouldn't the only thing that makes that reel unique is that its from the japanese domestic market.

<span>Hi Daniel, According to Daiwa, The Daiwa Tanacom Dendoh Offshore Deep Drop Rod DDL Models are approximately 6-7 inches longer than the DD models. The Advantage of the DDL model is just to fit the length of the rod holder on the boat. The DDL model w
<span>Hi Adnan, The Daiwa Tanacom Dendoh Offshore Deep Drop Rods can be used for trolling but would need to be left in the rod holder at all times when reeling due to the long rod butt. Depending on the size of the fish your targeting I would recommend th
Hello, There are a #4 butt
23 Inches from top to bottom. 13 Inches from the top to the bend.
The rods are meant for deep drop fishing but it can work, the one with the rollers will work best when trolling for wahoo. The Tiagra 50w LRS will pair with that rod.
Hello Phil. I would advise contacting Daiwa directly about this issue. Their telephone number is 562-375-6800 and their email is [email protected].
