Versatile Northeast ground fishing rod
Exceptional rod for Fluke, Seabass and scup. Great power to move the fish as well as sensitive to feel each bite. Highly recommend and cant wait for Blackfish season to really put it to the test. Ill be buying more.
Great rod
paired this rod with VR50 reel. I fish fish it mainly for bonita and albies from my kayak. its perfectly balanced for this type of fishing. also use it for catching schoolies on the flats. the softer tip makes it easy for working plastics.
They are very slim and thin.
The Daiwa PRIN76HFS Proteus Inshore Spinning Rod would be a good match for the stradic 5000.
The Daiwa PRIN80XXHFS Proteus Inshore Spinning Rod is currently out of stock. Once the rod becomes available more specs can be provided.
This pairing would work well for bottom fishing or vertical jigging. I would not advise using this rod if your application will involve alot of casting because it has a rather long but section which could make casting from a seated position difficult.
Depending on your fishing style or what you are targeting I would recommend going with a 7' Medium or Medium Heavy rated rod
I would recommend using the 7'6'' M for snook fishing and that rod has a great length grip for the application your using the rod for.
Daiwa does not list a lure rating for this line of rods and it could certainly be used for those species. Would pair up well with a 4000 class spinning reels.
Yes, the MH rated for 12-20lb line would be a great option for what you are describing.
Yes, Fuji K Frame guides with alconite rings on all spinning models.
Your going to want to have a rod that can handle a little bit heavier of a lure like a 3/4 to 1 oz up to 2 oz for casting ability and to hold bottom to bounce.
Rich,

Daiwa does not indicate whether it is a braid or mono line rating on this series of rods, but it appears to be a mono rating when comparing to other similar inshore rods.

Hi Kaleb, We currently have the 7'6" Medium Heavy action rod in stock for the Daiwa Proteus Inshore Series Spinning rod. Model: PIN76MHXS; TD Code: DAI-3268. https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-pin76mhxs-proteus-inshore-series-spinning-rod.
Both inshore and boat rods come equipped with a graphite composite blank both made with fuji dps reel seats as well as fuji guides. The grip is the same on both rods as well Daiwa used the X-tube grip for better handling.
Hello Daniel, the Daiwa Proteus Inshore Rods can be ordered for you if you would like. Should take a week or two before they come in.
Daiwa does not list the specs for the 8'6" Proteus
A good all around would be the 7'6" heavy Proteus
The 6500 would pair up well with the 8 foot proteus.
Yes, the 4500 saltist will pair well with the prin76hfs
