Great Rod
Used this rod all Christmas break and it handled everything between huge trout big reds snook and sheeps head... great sensitivity great casting and good power- love this by the mangroves or on the open flat
Great rod!!

Best inshore flats rod for the money
The 7'6 MFS is pretty much the perfect inshore rod. The blank has a good fast tip (about the first 1/3 of the rod) and good progressive backbone. It handles big fish very well, with enough tip and bend to keep small hooks set , with plenty of backbone to put pressure on big fish. Honestly this blank is very close to the action of the 7'6" Loomis e6x. very close, for less than half the money.I'm very satisfied with this rod, so much so I bought 2.
The 7 foot medium or the 7 foot medium heavy would suffice for freshwater and saltwater.
The 7'6" MH Daiwa Procyon would match up great with the 4500 spinfisher
All lengths as well as spinning and casting have a split grip handle.
yes, that would make for a nice light inshore setup.
The combo would balance out nicely.
Yes, the Daiwa Procyon is meant to be used for inshore saltwater applications.
That would be a killer light tackle set-up! You could even bump up to the 3000 size, which may balance a bit better on the 7'6 model.
The guides on Procyon will certainly be able to accommodate braided lines.
