got the heavy action thinking it would work for striper fishing but have not used yet, first off,the rod looks very well made with fuji double foot k guides, the action though, if any one is familiar with the ugly stiks soft tip, then you will know what i mean. the rod easily bends from the tip to the fifth guide, i was hoping to use this for striped bass but you will not be able… read more to control or put a lot of pressure on a large fish, this has more of an action like a fly rod with a whippy tip. would not use more than 2 ounces tops with this rod and thats pushing it. will try it for my intended use and see what happens
