(Perfect option to start making precise jighead casts, I just had to replace all the guides because they are not of good quality)

Best rod at the 50 dollar price points.

beats abu, beats shimano, beats 13, beats lews.

has never failed me.

Great rod. Better price

Quality guides/blank. And the sensitivity is enhanced due to the blank being exposed by the reel seat.

Awesome rods for the money

I’ve been using 10 of these rods in various lengths and actions for over 2 years. I fish 60-70 days a year and I haven’t broken one yet. The 7’0” med is whippy (but good parabolic bend with backbone) and great for lightweight lures. The 6’6” med is a great all-around rod
(My favorite) with more backbone than the 7’ med. The 7’0” heavy has been good for worm and jigs read more but is a slightly too stiff although I hesitate to say that. I do not own a 7’0” med heavy and I think I might like that better for worm and jigs for better casting. The only one I don’t like is the 7’3” med heavy. It’s kind of “clunky”, It has a dead feel.

Great for what you pay for

Not extremely light or extremely heavy. Upper guides tend to bend if you have a big fish on the end of the line. The eva handle loses grip (imo) after an extended use. Cosmetically, looks exquisite. Had mine for a few years and is still performing. Nothing lasts forever or in new/perfect condition forever but for the money, not a bad deal. Strong backbone (7'3") and have landed read more many bass with it. Good sensitivity and loads well. I'd say the most dependable and good looking $50 casting rod in the market right now.

is this a rod to use in the bay for flounder fishing

TackleDirect Customer Service 2 years ago

You can absolutely use this rod for lighter jigging in the bay for flounder, i would recommend going with a 6'6M option or the MH version if using slightly heavier jigs and need a little more backbone
