I feel this reel has a bad rap. I have had mine in the 27lcb for 5 years now. On occasion the line counter will stick that is all that has happened to mine. I use it to troll fresh water and take it on our annual Cobia fishing trip. We have brought in some heavy fish 30lbs or more with this reel. As matter of fact I'm going to order 2 more combos for this years trip just going up… read more to the 47lcb so we can up the lb test.

Had mine for a year and so did a friend (bought at the same time). Within the first month had a grinding in the ball bearings. I don't do any beach fishing at all so i assumed that i got salt inside of it and cleaned it to no avail. A week later my friend's reel started doing the same. Now both of these reels were thoroughly cleaned after each use. Luckily another friend of ours…

knew a Daiwa rep., and we got all of the internals replace for free. Upon receiving it the worked great.....for about a month again..... I went as far as to replace the "sealed" ball bearings inside with ceramic ones i bought online, which did help, but has not totally absolved the issue with their crappy bearings grinding and locking up.

does daiwa make a model adp57lcb in left hand retrieve ?

Daiwa does not currently make this reel in the 57 size left hand. The only left hand sizes available are the 27 and the 47 sizes.

What is the difference between the ADP27LCBW reel and the ADP27LCB? they seem to have the same specs.

The LCBW had dual paddle handles and the LCB has a single paddle with a counterbalance.
