Crowder ESU7050 E-Series Stand-Up Rod

Crowder E series are great rods at a reasonable price. I have several E series with various reels, both braid and mono. Great action to feel the bite and great strength for fighting the big ones. Strong eyes that don't break, fuji butts for long life and great wear. I have this rod on a Penn VSX30 with 130lb braid. I use it for trolling and deep drop.

Great Fishing Rod!

I fish offshore in south Florida and these rods hold up great. They are well made and handle the abuse of everyday fishing. Have purchased several and am very pleased. Thanks!

Whats the difference between the 5650 and 5650S

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

The ESU5650S has the Slick Butt as opposed to the EVA Foam on the ESU5650 model.

What power is the <a href="https://www.tackledirect.com/crowder-esu6630s-e-series-stand-up-rod.html" style="text-decoration-line: none; background-color: rgb(236, 237, 239); color: rgb(51, 122, 183); font-family: Arial; white-space: normal;">ESU6630S</a>?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

Unfortunately, Crowder doesn't list the power ratings for these rods, but given that it is rated for 20-30lb. test mono, it is most likely a M or MH power rod. It would be able to handle reef/bottom fishing for grouper and snapper.

Asked by Shane 3 years ago

Would this rod be a good match for a avet hxw raptor for shark and grouper fishing from the beach?

Austin Kearney 3 years ago

At minimum, I would go with one of the models that's 50-80lb. test line, but the heavier models rated for 50-100lb. test line would be the better choice.

The ESU6030S would be your best model option.

Yes it would and it would make for a nice combo.

Asked by Aidan Smith 5 years ago

Would a fin nor marquesa 20 or 25 work better on the model of this rod rated at 50-100 pound test at 6’6?

Andrew Montagna 5 years ago

I would go with the Fin nor 25
