Not For Me!

This braid gets glowing reviews all over the net and I have no idea why. First of all, this stuff is thick. Both thicker than what's stated on the box as well as thicker than what's typical for its given test label rating. The 10lb braid is thicker than Sufix 832 15lb braid and nearly as thick as 20lb Power Pro. Aside from this the line is very rough, even for a four carrier. It's… read more very loud thru my guides. And finally this stuff is very buoyant. I don't mean neutrally buoyant like most braids. I mean like floating fly line buoyant. Maybe that works for certain presentations, but for me it was a hinderance. It seems strong and ties good knots, but this line has nothing going for it beyond that. I'm going to stick with Suffix 832 and Power Pro Maxquattro.

Quality braided line

Power pro may be the standard, but serious fisherman should know that Cortland is making a serious competitor well worth consideration. My first Cortland purchase has impressed with its castability, durability and quality. Nice product!

You are privileged to pay more for Less

Master braid is by far my Top Choice braid for Musky fishing but I've made a switch to tufline which I like almost as much.. Cortland Apparently has no respect for their customers and thinks that we should be happy to pay them more for Less. It almost seems unbelievably arrogant they think they should charge us more not to cut the line and to put more on one spool Rather than less… read more on two spools ....Right now you can buy two 150 yard spools for far less than you can buy one 250 yards Spool... does that make sense. ??Absolutely not

Best Braid out there!

This is No Doubt the Best Braid out there. Cortland has been making fishing lines for 100 years. They know what they are doing. They don’t have some other company make it for them. They have all the top equipment to make their own braid, and they stand by it!!! One of the best lines out there USA made

Great stuff! color lasts forever on the line.good for surf fishing plugs or bait fishing. Glad tackle direct carries this line now. hopefully in bigger spools soon.
Cortland has been around for 100 years and made parachute cord during world war II.
