Love it
Great for anything from flounder to striped bass. Also makes a durable thread for canvas repair
Best super braid
No, Fireline Crystal is not invisible in the water, but that's ok. Neither is any other super braid. Also, it seems to be labelled a bit low on breaking strength, so 10 pound Fireline Crystal compares very favorable with 20 pound S or PP. The advantage is that Crystal handles much better than the other lines, with very few "wind knots," is incredibly strong and ties easily.

I use 10 pound Fireline Crystal on medium spinning ouitfits for everything from largemouth to spotted seatrout, red drum, flounder, even snook and small tarpon on southern vacations.
Good choice for older reels
I bought original fireline based on recommendations that it is a good braid substitute for older reels that weren't designed for braid. I have it on a penn 550SS from the 1980s. I have used it on the Florida east coast beach and am very happy with It. It's as sensitive as braid with no stretch. The 20 pound fireline casts noticibly farther than the 15 pound mono I was using. … read more It's not as limp as braid but much more limp than mono and no wind knots after 5 half days of casting. Diameter is thicker than same weight braid but thinner than same weight mono. I am considering trying it on one of my conventional surf reels as well.
Best line
It is one of the best line I ever had.
It has lot less tangle than braid line.
small but enough tension.
Fire line
Fireline is very good alternatuve the braids.
fureline has little tension so it makes cast little easier..
I like 25lbs
I used 2 pound for crappie and never broke off yet
great product for crappie! many fish cant see the crystal technology in the line
Very durable line for freshwater application
used it exclusively for freshwater applications, the extremely thin diameter handles very well, highly recommended!
