I've always used this type of hook more for snapper blues than flounder but it will catch both. It's also put a lot of sea bass on the deck as well. At such a low price they are hard to pass up. Much quicker than tying your own rig.

I look at it as kind of a modified finder rig except the weight does not slide. it is tangle free for the most part and there is enough length to the rig to give a flounder the room to turn and take the bait, most of the time, but you may still want to give it some line on the run off before hook set. in my opinion only, I find this rig a little better for cut bait than minnows… read more for flounder.
