Works great on Catfish with a Abu garcia reel attached. Fished all day and it's way better than using my larger rod for Catfish.

I've had this rod for 5 years now and with occasional conditioning it is still functional as new. It's my go-to for largemouth bass and can be fun with some back Bay flounders stripers or small bluefish. Only downside was when I first purchased the tip broke off on my second cast but Abu Garcia was great and replaced it for no extra cost and there hasn't been any issues with it… read more since.

This rod is stiff and great for live bait or heavy lures. Casts great but the blank is a little heavy in weight
